White House Declares Mobile Revolution

The White House recently released this (the bold and italics are mine); Presidential Memorandum — Building a 21st Century Digital Government “The innovative use of technology is fundamentally transforming how the American people do business and live their daily lives. Exponential increases in computing power, the rise of high-speed networks, and the growing mobile revolution have put the Internet at our fingertips, encouraging innovations that are giving rise to new industries and reshaping existing ones.” The document goes on to say that the federal government will now be “encouraging agencies to deliver information in new ways that fully utilize the power and potential of mobile and web-based technologies”. Clearly that administration can see that the mobile revolution is well under way.  Mobile devices are changing the world.  They are changing how we communicate with each other, how we access information and how we exchange information.  People connecting, and sharing and improving the quality of information is the next phase in human evolution.  We are more skilled as humans than ever before because we have such ready access to information.  If I need to know how to fix a hacked WordPress blog or  how to make french toast, I can instantly find the answer.  In fact I can often find millions of answers with a Google search in seconds.  But that has been possible for years.  What is truly amazing is that right now, we can instantly find answers from people we trust, anytime, anywhere, on our mobile device.  I can look up restaurant menu items, movie start times and reviews or  even do some...
