I haven’t had a BlackBerry crash in a long time.  That’s because I no longer use my BlackBerry Curve, I am now an Android user.  I own the Droid 4!  There are a lot of great smartphones on the market today but I love the screen size and qwerty keyboard on this droid.

DROID 3 by Motorola
The Droid 4 is a big device.  It is 5″ x 2 7/8″ x 1/2″ and it weighs 6.3 oz.  One big reason it is so heavy is that it has a slide out keyboard, which is a major reason I choose this device.  Touch keyboards are great and I use them often but it is nice to have a keyboard available when you are writing a little more, or when you just can’t seem to touch the right right buttons on your touch keyboard.

This Droid has plenty of power and plenty of memory and runs applications with ease.  I decided to choose Android because of the flexibility.  Mobile applications make Android devices extremely adaptable.  I have hundreds of apps installed on my Droid.  Some of them allow me to control every feature of my device with just a few taps.  I have apps to keep me organized and apps to keep me informed.  My favorite apps are those that allow me to access my most used services and websites with just a few taps.

Ultimately, apps are the biggest reason that I became an Android user instead of a BlackBerry user (I will explain why I am not an iPhone user another time!).  Apps were difficult to use on my BlackBerry.  There weren’t many to choose from and those I tried didn’t work very well.  Everything was so slow that most of the time it just wasn’t worth it.  I endured my BlackBerry crashing and losing my data.  I struggled with BlackBerry battery crashes that were extremely annoying because the load time for the Curve when it needs to reboot can be very long.  My BlackBerry Curve was an outstanding texting and email device, but the mobile web features simply don’t compare to my Droid.  I love my Motorola Droid 4 4G mobile phone!
